McHappy DayThis is the fifth year of Scouts Australia’s partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) to raise funds for seriously ill children and their families by participating in McHappy Day!

Once again we are asking Scout Groups to assist young McDonald’s staff in collecting money for RMHC in their local McDonald’s on McHappy Day, Saturday 12 November 2011. However, if you don’t live near a McDonald’s, why not conduct your own fundraising event to raise money for RMHC!

100% of the money raised on McHappy Day goes to RMHC, so our members can feel good about helping seriously ill kids… and it’s also a great way for your Group to talk about Scouting with families in your local community.

McHappy Day may also provide an opportunity for you to establish an ongoing relationship with the management of your local McDonald’s restaurant. This could result in employment opportunities, prize donations or community advertising for Scouts.

In return for Scouts Australia’s participation in fundraising for RMHC on McHappy Day, McDonald’s will provide participants with a free badge as well as a Scouts promotional tray mat in all its 800 restaurants during March – April 2012.
