Camping

Gilwell Park has an extensive bushland tent-camping area, with easy access to all the Park's activity sites.  

All campsites have reticulated water.   Toilet and ablution blocks, with gas hot water systems, are located around the camping field.  

You can self-cater, but you will need to provide your own cooking stoves - open cooking fires are accepted in specific circumstances.  

Large shelters, huts and activity areas are available so that you can keep your program moving in any weather.  Gilwell Park has an extensive bushland tent-camping area, with easy access to all the Park's activity sites.

The Hoadley and de Molnar areas consist of halls, sleeping huts, cooking and dining facilities in the Russell Troop Hall. The area is particularly suited to groups up to 32, whose main program focus is on outdoor activity. Up to four detached huts are available, each containing four double bunks. The venue and facilities are ideal for school camps, or as centres for adult training programs. No bed linen or blankets supplied.

Switzer Lodge

Recently renovated Switzer Lodge has seven bedrooms with sleeping accommodation for 39 persons including a leaders room. There are internal toilets and showers plus facilities for people with disabilities including adjacent parking. No bed linen or blankets supplied. Self catering is available in the Russell Troop kitchen or catering can be provided in the Delacombe dining room.

Spring Lodge is a modern motel style conference facility ideally suited to business, social and other adult groups. It accommodates 36 people in nine rooms in bunks and has facilities for people with disabilities. It has a spacious common room, kitchen and internal toilets and showers.

The E M Derrick Centre

The E M Derrick Centre is ideally suited to school and activity groups. It accommodates 32 persons in bunks and 4 adults in separate rooms. Large kitchen and dining area. Large covered outdoor area for special activities or rainy days. The adjacent self-contained Cleve Cole Hut can accommodate a further 8 persons. No bed linen or blankets supplied.

Sycamore Lodge

Sycamore Lodge is accessed via Gate 4 on the "Gembrook to Launching Place Road".
