Bushwalking
The Victorian Scout Bushwalking Support Team is a Victorian Branch adventurous-activities team which supports youth members and Leaders in bushwalking. This support is in the form of...
- training for Leaders or Youth
- the provision of resources
- ideas of where to go and what to do
- hire of equipment, for example GPSs
- advice and assistance to undertake new locations and activities.
All of the team members are either active Scouting Leaders or Activity Leaders and are led by the Branch Activity Leader- Bushwalking.
The Bushwalking Support Team also runs a walking club called the Scout Bushwalkers who undertake regular walks of all sorts intended for adults in Scouting and their friends and families. This is a chance for Leaders to gain some experience without their youth members in attendance, and a chance to spend some time in the bush with other leaders in the same situation.
The Bushwalking Support Team is a member of Bushwalking Victoria.
