Deadlines For Articles

Australian Scout magazine goes to the printer on the 15th of the month, two weeks before the start of the month for which it is intended.

That means the last bit of the last page is edited that day.

The first part of the magazine is edited 4 weeks earlier, on the 15th of the month, six weeks before the start of the cover month.  (The program pages are laid in first, then the Looking locally pages.)

Generally:

  • Australian Scout is always on deadline
  • The sooner an item is sent after an event, the stronger its chances of getting a run (we would be unlikely to run coverage of an event three months after it happened)
