Working with Children Cards

Members and leaders 18 years and over must apply for a WWC (Working with Childrens) Card and use the code number 10 & 72 when completing the application form. The application form can be picked up from your local post office by asking for the volunteer Working with Children Form.

Advice from Working with Children Check

Renewal Applications: You can lodge your Working with Children (WWC) Check renewal form without having the child-related work code 42 amended. This is because code 42 is a historical code and still recognised by the Department for existing cardholders.

The Dept. of Justice have a FAQ sheet for Renewal Forms that may be of use. See a copy here.

New Applications: Please note that code 42 cannot be used for new WWC Check applications. Individuals involved in recreational clubs associations and movements must use the child-related work code 72 on their application form.
